Kratom is a natural substance that has grown in popularity in recent years. No matter the reason, you may wish to try kratom for yourself. But before you do, it’s important to know that kratom is not an herbal remedy that’s going to be available everywhere. In some states, kratom is banned outright, affected by the same laws that make other substances illegal. In other states, kratom is either legal to purchase throughout the state or only illegal in some areas. For our customers in Florida, let’s find out if kratom is legal in Florida in 2022.
If you’re a native Floridian interested in kratom, you’ll be pleased to know that it’s legal for use nearly everywhere statewide. However, like in many other states, there are exceptions. In Florida, kratom is legal everywhere with the exception of Sarasota County. This ban is not restricted to any one city; kratom is illegal in every city within Sarasota County. This impacts anyone in this area, regardless of whether they live in Sarasota Springs, Venice, or Fruitville.
So, is kratom legal in Florida in 2022? For most Floridians, trying kratom for yourself won’t be an issue. But if you live in Sarasota County, making the decision to try to get kratom can result in a fine or even jail time. More importantly, always stay up-to-date on new developments within the kratom space to track any new laws that may be implemented. While Sarasota County may be the only county in Florida currently with a total kratom ban, this could potentially change in the future. Sarasota County may reverse it or new cities and counties may implement their own bans. Doing your due diligence plays a critical role in your experience with kratom and whether or not you’re able to try it for yourself.
